As an AppleCare Front-End Web Developer, you will create innovative and compelling web-based, interactive multimedia solutions that meet the vision and requirements of instructional designers, curriculum managers, and support Advisors. These solutions can include independent training interactions, reusable media templates, and complete media-development applications. You’ll work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment that has tight deadliness with minimal supervision and demands high quality, creativity, and consistency. This position can be based in Austin, TX; Raleigh, NC; Sacramento, CA; or Santa Clara Valley, CA.

Key Qualifications

• Required Qualifications:
• Solid understanding and proven application of fundamental front-end web technologies, including JS (vanilla JS/ES6 experience required), HTML5, WAI-ARIA, and CSS3 (SASS experience preferred)
• Experience with the React JS framework
• Experience with backend frameworks like Node JS or Next JS
• Familiarity with RDBMS, preferably Postgresql
• Experience with modern web accessibility, including keyboard navigation and assistive technology
• A portfolio showcasing rich, interactive web UI programmed in JavaScript and with thoughtful design considerations
• Proven organizational, time-management, and project-management skills
• Ability to explain technical jargon to non-technical audiences
• Good communication and personal skills; ability to interact and work well with members of other groups in a project team while demonstrating a strong sense of project ownership
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Redux
• Experience with Typescript
• Understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
• Technical understanding of e-Learning standards, such as SCORM and xAPI (TinCan)
• Experience developing UI that needs to be localized

Description

As a Front-End Web Developer in Apple Support, you will work with tight deadlines and minimal supervision in a fast-paced, rewarding environment that demands high quality, creativity, and consistency. You will use front-end web technologies to develop interactive training content, which will enable Apple Support Advisors to better serve our customers. You will provide regular status updates to project teams, stakeholders, and management and proactively summarize project progress, issues, key points, and required actions.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 3+ years relevant work experience Master’s degree in a related field a plus
